31/12/2026

The beginning

We’ll gather on New Year’s Eve to meet one another, share a nourishing welcome dinner and to welcome the new year with clarity and intention.

01/01/2026

Day 1

We begin by connecting to the root chakra with a grounding alignment and movement  practice. After breakfast we root into island life with a guided walk to explore the scenery of the island. We’ll close the day with a guided self-reflection and journaling session to set your personal intentions for the duration of the retreat.

02/01/2026

Day 2

Dive into the water element of the sacral chakra with a movement practice that focuses on finding your flow. After a day spent resting, journaling, swimming in the turquoise waters just a few minutes walk from the guest house and sampling delicious local cuisine, we end the day with a sunset dolphin cruise.

03/01/2026

Day 3

We honour the solar plexus chakra with a morning movement practice designed to gently stimulate and support the digestive system and an afternoon breathwork session to stoke the fires of your personal power.  In the evening enjoy the exquisite and unique flavours of a traditional Maldivian dinner especially prepared by a local chef.

04/01/2026

Day 4

Open your heart to compassion, connection and beauty. At sunrise we take a boat to a nearby uninhabited island for a heart-opening movement flow in the forest to honour the heart chakra. Afterwards enjoy a picnic-style brunch and time to explore the island and its wildlife with our local guides.  We end the day with a heart-focused meditation.

05/01/2026

Day 5

Speak your truth and find your voice. Start the day with mindful movement infused with mantra and gentle chanting to activate the throat chakra. We’ll close the day with a guided journaling practice and a sharing circle.

06/01/2026

Day 6

In the morning, tap into the deep wisdom of the third eye chakra with a restorative mobility and stretch practice and in the evening, lock in your intentions for moving forward during a guided meditation. During the course of the day a snorkeling excursion allows time for you to quietly connect with yourself whilst exploring the incredible marine life of the beautiful Maldivian waters.

07/01/2026

Day 7

Celebrate the gifts of the crown chakra with an early morning guided meditation practice and closing ceremony to integrate all you’ve experienced on your journey toward inner harmony and the connections made with people, nature and the magic of the Maldives.

Your host

Mindful practices have provided a means for Sheona to feel and acknowledge the complexities of life, giving her broader perspective and a greater awareness of self. This awareness she readily shares with others to help them enhance their own journeys of discovery.  Her innate love and appreciation of the wisdom of the ancient Eastern philosophies informs her teaching which encourages a deep connection to self, using mindful movement as a tool to witness our reactions and responses, and to find the space and freedom to initiate transformation by working with ourselves from a place of compassion and understanding.

She is a RYT-500 trained teacher in Vinyasa yoga, has trained under Ana Forrest, attaining an Advanced Forrest Yoga certification and also loves to share the more subtle practices of Yin Yoga, meditation and breathwork with her students. She is a yoga teacher in Cape Town, South Africa and also a mother, nature lover and advocate for living in harmony and balance with ourselves, each other and our environment.
